An Entire Generation Loses It’s Photo Memories

Thanks to the wonders of the digital age, more photographs will be taken this year than ever before. Everywhere you go, people are taking digital photos. Go to any event and there will be groups of people holding up their cell phones, capturing and sending each other their tiny screen memories .Each photo captures a unique moment in time. The problem for this generation is, that in ten years, most of these memories will be gone.

As the technology keeps changing, the very way we store the photos also changes. CD’s deteriorate, and will be replaced by something else. Remember the Betamax, floppy disks, laser disk players, reel to reel video tape or, VHS VCRs???

Computers crash, hard drives fail and cell phones are lost or upgraded. On-line photo galleries come and go, sometimes without much notice.

SAVE YOUR MEMORIES! Take the time to print the photos you wish to save. It is easy enough to do it yourself or have it printed at any number of camera shops, drugstores, online printing services or big box retailers.

A photo printed properly and stored correctly may last at least 100 years. No special viewer or technology required. Save your memories for your future generations.
